Yoga is about discovering our true selves, creating a strong foundation for genuine expression. This is the foundation of service. Our world becomes brighter when we share the very best of ourselves, when we give away our most precious resources. To share yoga is to share love. The question is, how far is our reach? White Gold Yoga is committed to igniting your innate desire to give, and give big.
White Gold Yoga supports causes that have a big reach!
The Africa Yoga Project organization uses the transformative power of yoga to empower communities and change lives. By inspiring the global yoga community into active service, we deliver effective and innovative programs that foster peace, improve physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, facilitate self-sufficiency, and create opportunities to learn and contribute across the communities of East Africa.
Erin Anderson is an Ambassador for AYP, actively fundraising to support this great cause through the Yoga Jam Events. Erin traveled to Nairobi to work with AYP and has since become AYP team member, contributing her graphic design and marketing skills to elevate the initiative globally.
Emmanuel Jal and Lose to Win
Lose to Win began on December 2, 2008 when Emmanuel made a promise. He would not eat breakfast or lunch until he could raise enough money to build a primary school in Leer, South Sudan. This was Phase 1 of the Emma Academy, an education center named in honor of the British aid worker Emma McCune who rescued him from being a child soldier and adopted Emmanuel as a teenager.
The construction of Emma Academy is co-ordinated by Gua Africa, a charity founded by Emmanuel that works with individuals, families and communities to help them overcome the effects of war and poverty. Emmanuel vowed to donate the value of his missing meals to the project, also welcoming donations from others who wanted to support him. He called his effort "Lose to Win".
"I would rather raise one million dollars from one million people than receive a one-off donation. I want to make individuals instrumental in making this world a better place."
Each year Emmanuel will embark upon a new "Lose to Win" challenge to raise awareness and funds for the causes he believes in. This time he will 'lose' his residence and travel the world until he raises £1.6 million for three organizations he is passionate about and supporting the We Want Peace campaign.

We believe Yoga transforms people’s lives. Together we can make change possible one mat at a time.
Our primary purpose is to bring Yoga to Youth. We believe that through Yoga youth will be able to experience their own individual purpose. The practices of yoga give young people an opportunity to experience for themselves the truth of their own existence. Youth have always searched for the answer to the question “Who am I?” Yoga gives youth a chance to find out who they really are. At the same time, Yoga teaches us about connection and interconnection, recognizing that everything is connected and at our center we are no different.
